Answer

well you cant light it with a match. it wont work you have to replace the ignitor with a new one. the ignitor most likley has a hair line crack that got biger each time it ignited and now is not making continuity to glow at all. shut off your unit electricty remove the ignitor and bring it with you there are hundreds of ignitors this way you will get a perfict match. just remember when installing the new one dont touch the stone with your fingers the oils from your skin will make the ignitor crack when it starts up. i have herd they made ignitors you can touch but i still dont recomend it

good luck
