I have an old coleman Evcon suncutter package unit. I believe around a 1986 model. Found a few leaks and fixed them. Also a few electrical connectors appeared to be rusted and they were replaced. Compressor is ok. All floor ducts are open and blowing good stream of air. However after about and hour after these leaks were detected and fixed, it started blowing warm air again and losing refrigerant again. When it was blowing cool air, water was exiting through the external drain pipe. When blowing warm air there was no evidence of water in the drain pipe. Any suggestions on what to check next ? Do I do a thorough leak test again ? thank you.

Hello Cool,

You are most likely correct. When properly charged the unit will condensate and remove humidity steadily.

I recommend pull charge (if any, and "pull" means recover) pressurize with nitrogen, leak test with bubble spray or put in a trace charge and look electronically, Hope it is not in the coil. .....AND, next time pull a proper vacuum and wait. This is the best way to check before you dump more charge into it.
