can I refuse to testify in court if my testimony will incriminate me?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

Is this a criminal case? If so, yes, you have a right under the 5th Amendment to the United States Constitution to refuse to answer any questions that would incriminate YOU. You cannot refuse to testify if your words would incriminate someone else. Also, no such privilege exists in a civil case.
