Question

My Frigidaire washer is getting stuck in the middle of the normal wash cycle and will not rinse. I have run it in perm press and delicate start to finish, but it is not rinsing the clothes in those cycles either. It just hums when it should be filling with water.

that means cold water is not entering the washer. Make sure your cold water valve at your house is turned on. If so turn it off and disconnect the hose from the back of the washer. Make sure nothing is clogging the filter on the washer connection. If so just flush it out with a bit of water. If everything looks good then you need to replace the electronic water valve on the back of your unit (this is the part that your inlet water hoses connect to).

Thanks. It must be the electronic water valve then. I checked the supply of both cold and hot and the filter. Is that a part that a person with general know-how can replace?

deffinately just turn the water off first and make sure you unplug the appliance. This part is about as easy as anything comes to replacing on these appliances.
