i just had my 2000 328i expansion tank replaced had a crack in the side of it added anti freeze also had thermostat replaced now car over heats and noticed a hair line crack in upper plastic part where hose conects to radiator and it did not over heat before expansion tank was replaced what could be the problem?

Hi

The head gasket will most likely be blown.
Due to this there is to much preser in the system causing all the above parts to blow up.
Get a head gasket gas test done on the cooling system and you will be sure

Hi

yes the head will need to come of when it is a leaking gasked.
and should be presser tested and skimed but the it should be alright again.
But get it tested first please.

Just 1 ad on to this don't forget to open the bleed screw next to the coolant filler cap when topping up with coolant.
