my boat trailer wont go in revearse, how do i release jammed trailer brake?

Jbrew-Greetigns. Your trailer is probably drum breaks. The jam will either be in the control/hydralic system or in the mechanical drum part. On the back of the breaks is a nipple that kind of looks like a greace fitting. Slacken this just a bit and drain a couple drops of break fluid. If you can now reverse the problem is in the control side. If you still can't reverse then you have to take the break drum appart and give it a tune up.

i dont think its that serious. on the trailer hitch theres a safety or emergency cable you hook to your truck while towing, how do you reset and release the brake?

Jbrew-Greetings. You might be experiencing "chugging" or backing difficulties. Try this online manual of the three most common trailer brake types.

Selecte actuators and then the middle of the three options. Page 19 is the trouble shooting phase.

In general the emergency release is reset at the ball hitch end but without knowing your trailer it's difficult to diagnose. The manual may help.
