Hello, I have a loud clunking noise coming from the back of my boat (baja 350 MAG with a alpha 2nd generation drive) noise is near my drive or behind the engine, only when it is put into gear (when i put into gear it goes nowhere, in neutral there is no noise) and noise gets louder when I rev the RPM's up. What can be causing this noise? what can be broken?? PLEASE HELP!! XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX XXX-XXX-XXXX i have never used this service before please contact me.

Hello,

 

The most likely cause is the gimble bearing (#10 diagram 1)which supports shaft #13 (see diagram 2).

The second cause would be the universal joints #12. Both are cause by water getting into the large rubber boot which may need to be replaced as well.
