The display that you are talking about is the one for park, reverse, drive?

Yes, it was operating properly until I took the car to a detail shop. They left the doors open and the battery drained completely. I jump started the car to get it home and the shift indicator had quit working. I went to charge the battery and noticed it was the OEM battery with 9 years of service. So I replaced the battery, still the indicator only illuminates partially.
Ran the OBC Test #2 that activates the gauge drivers, indicators and LEDs to confirm function. However, the LED shift indicator remained the same.

That test was the next step, unfortunately it sounds like you will need a new instrument cluster.
