Answer
hey this is scott, is it the outside unit breaker that is tripping, pho-36 sounds like a three ton unit and for a three ton unit a 60 amp breaker is too big. or is it the breaker to the air handler, which a 60 amp would be correct, any way usually if it is a short somewhere it will trip as soon as power is put to it, sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere, check your high voltage connections at the unit, at the unit disconnects, and even at the panel at the breakers. if all is tight then could possibly be a weak breaker.if i was any help please hit the accept button and if i can help any more let me know
