is it normal for a 2003 150 mercury efi motor not to throw water from the wee hole when on idle speed.

What your are describing is either 2 things

1. you have debris in the line, specially in salt water boats
2. your water pump is due for a change

The water pump is new and this is on bass boat so it has never been in salt water

i would use compressed air into the pee hole and use some heavy mono fishing line to clean it out

ok so you are saying that water should come out. and if I use compressed air do i need remove anything? just blow air into the the pee hole.

ok. Let me back up a little, When i give it some throttle water starts to come out and when im on full throttle water really comes out.

ok. thanks for the info. Im tring to buy a boat, but my concern was that it would not throw water out of the wee hole until we started moving and the water pressure was about 15 -20 psi.

Yea but I rarely do that kind of fishing. I do bass fishing in Choke Canyon and Lake Corpus Christi.
