Question
Hi: I recently had a run in with a family member where I work which happens to be at home. They ran in by unlocking the door with a key they had. This person does not live here. This person with another unknown man commenced shooting videos of all my work, sensitive methods with which I make a honest living without my permission. Just started doing that including me, and all my posessions, tables and work tools. The estate attorny was contacted and ordered all locks to be changed and we did. We don't know where the video is or what the purpose of it was but I could not stop them without a physical confrontation. So I feel a violation of my intellectual property rights was violated. It is my sole method derived from myself of making a living for about 5 years. I do not share this with anyone. Where my rights violated and what can be done?

Answer
Hello,
It appears that the person entered your home without permission and violated your privacy. You can file a civil action for harassment and violation of your privacy. You can request that the photos be turned over to you and that the defendant be enjoined from disclosing any information gathered.

Thank you so much. What about the phone harrasment? I'm very upset.
Accepted Answer
The phone harassment can be included in your action. You may also want to obtain a restraining order to prevent the person from contacting you in the future.
