Question

3 month old male lab wont eat, hardly drinks, tries to play but weak, woke up in night vomitting and diarrea, has had 2nd of three 7 way shots. he is not due for one until next sunday. he is responsive to calls and does wag tail when you talk to him.

tried to feed him some wet food that he likes, but he still wouldnt eat it. thinking of going to the emergency vet now, but didnt know if i could wait until morning for my regualar vet

Hello. Thanks for writing in. I would recommend going to the emergency vet now. If he is constantly vomiting and diarrhea, he will get dehydrated very easily. This could be contributing to his weakness, but he may also have a viral or bacterial infection as well. Even though he has had 2 sets of parvo vaccine, there is still a small chance that he can get the virus, especially if he has been around a lot of other dogs or walks around the neighborhood or park. There is also the possibility that he could have eaten something toxic or that caused a gastrointestinal obstruction. Either way, the sooner the diagnosis is made, the better. He definitely needs a fecal exam and parvo test, but they may want to run some bloodwork and x-rays based on the results of those exams. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
