you should consult with a personal injury/workmen's comp attorney in your area. there could be merit to you situation to file a civil lawsuit against your employer. a lawyer in your area will be able to make that assessment by evaluating if negiligence occurred on the part of your employer. a consult would be minimal fee of say $30 for 1/2 hour. and if they decide to take your case on a continency that fee could be waived.
