Question

I was using my iphone's DTunes and when I wanted to turn the music off, it won't let me so the next thing I did was log off. The next time I logged in, the screen was just black, no nothing. I tried to push the off button and home button together for almost 2 minutes, nothing. My husband just told me that the phone's still on (maybe when I was trying to switch it on) but the light is just not turning on, so everything's black. I tried to see if it synchs but I dont see anything...

Hi,
Please try out this solutions if this doesnot help then please take it to the nearest service center

  1. Try charging and holding both buttons if nothing happens that means it is a hardware problem or the motherboard
  2. Try resetting it by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake button (on the top right of the unit) and the Home button (circular button on the iPhone?s face) simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
  3. Just try resetting it... Here's the logic: When your iPhone dies, the internal RAM shuts down after the reserve battery power is used. This in turn sleeps the motherboard, which is why it appears dead. Resetting the RAM on the motherboard will juice the very small amount of energy out of the battery to re-boot the motherboard. If resetting your iPhone doesn't work for you at first. Lay it in your cradle for approx. 10 minutes then try resetting. Although it doesn't appear so, you will actually be charging the battery, just without waking the motherboard.
  4. Hold down the home button then plug the usb lead into the back of the computer at the same time. see if that helps!

Hi!

I did the first two last night though I wasnt charging it long enough, just a few minutes so maybe I'll try again, and I havent tried the 3rd and 4th option. Right now, I'm at the office and my phone's at home... I'll do what you suggested first thing when I get home then let you know and pay you. Thank you for your help.

Hi!

My iphone's okay now, though it wasnt from the options you gave. I dont know what the connection is with ITunes but when I synched it, it came on after everything was re-copied from the backup. Thanks anyway, I'll keep the options you gave in case it happens again in the future.
