Answer

Hello again,

It sounds like that you may have a problem with your idle control valve or idle control system.

You need to check your vacuum hoses and your air intake hoses first to make sure that they are not split are connected properly. If you can hear an air leak and find the general area, you can spray a little carb cleaner and see if the engine speed changes. If the engine speed changes, you have an air leak. You will need to find which hose is leaking and repair or replace it.

If you do not have any air leaks, the most likely fault would be that the idle control valve is bad. I have had to replace many in the past.

Use the carb cleaner with caution and do not spray it on electrical devices.

If you find this information satisfactory, Please Accept.
Thanks, Wally
