Carefully inspect plug.Insert a small flatblade into shaded area & release the plastic locking tab to release plug

The image shows what the plug should look like.The green area is where the small flateblade goes into, unless you are refering to the Plug in the second diagram:
where the Tab is on top & you would lift the tab & pull down on plug to release
