1993 should be the last year of the 240.

244 would be a 4 door 240.

we seem to be playing catch-up here. I realised my mistake(it's a 440) and sent a message, but you don't seem to have got it. frank

Ok, this is why I asked.

We do not have the 440 model in the states. I do not have a wiring diagram at hand.

You problem is going to be with the power going to the radio.
There should be a wire that is constant power. I believe the radio is not getting power on this wire.

I will need to do some digging to see if I can find a diagram.
You will need to get a voltmeter and pull out the radio so we can test the wires.
With the radio unplugged and the key off. Check for power to all the wires. Now repeat with the key in the accessory position.

Let me know which wires get power with the key on and off.
