Question

Is it neccesary for a journal entry to be signed on a contempt ruling? Does a motion to reconsider time line of 30 days begin on the date the Judge makes the ruling on the contempt or the day the journal entry is signed if required from the above question? are contempt hearings appealable?

it's procedurally correct for a journal entry to be signed, but may not be necessary if the ruling is on the record. the timeline for a motion for reconsideration starts to run on the date of the order. findings of contempt are appealable. Let me know if more information is needed.
