Question

Hi I have just installed new head gaskets on a 3vzfe motor after blown gasket and rough idling. Checked timing twice belts cams and ignition. I have good spark good fuel press and injectors working OK. When I crank engine it will not fire and when I then remove the plugs they are very wet. Prior to reinstalling throttle body I did crank the engine , it started and ran for about 5 secs then died this would confirm that timing is OK. Any ideas Thanks Tony

Hi Peter Its a jap import to New Zealand 1991 equivlent to ES300 with The 3.0lt 3vzfe motor quad cam. I cranked it without throttle body and with timing light to confirm correct ign timing. It is similar to the 1mzfe motor but only one coil and cams mesh in the middle of the shafts as opposed to the1mz that meshes at the end.
