When I try to record a Cassette Tape to CD it shows "Forbid" in the small screen and will not proceed. I have a CR248-OA.

Hi Dennis.,

I know these machines, take CD-Rs and CD-RWs

I would suspect the disc to be in-compatible at first, (( not all discs are the same ))

Even though they are CD-R and CD-RW, different manufacturers CDs
can have different effects on some machines.

Swap out the discs and Try a different brand of CD-R or CD-RW

Then Try a CD-RW, not the CD-R, to see if the discs that are not the problem.

This is the best solution to put the fault back onto the machine.
