Question

I work in public transportation as a operations supervisor and oversee union contact labor employees. I have one employee who has filed harrassment on me for the second time. The first time was not honored based on no proven facts and now have file another. I'm governed by an employee handbook that was issue from my employer and the union contract book that I can not gear from. Everything that I do is based within these 2 books. I've work within these relms since my employment for 11 years. I feel that any employee has the right to file if they feel that have been violated, however, I have proven facts that I have not what she is stating and it's a matter of time the my employer find no truth to her claim. My question is: Can I file a lawsuit for "dafamation of charter?"

Yes, you can file a suit for defamation of character. Your claim should be fairly strong since you have proof that the allegations made by the employee are false. Look for an employment law attorney in your area who offers free consultations and takes contingency fee cases to assist you.
