Wrongful termination cases are tough because an employer generally has the right to terminate an employee for any reason, or no reason at all - so long as it is not discriminatory. That's why you can't find many lawyers willing to spend the time and money on these.
You can file such an action with your state department of labor and employment. This is an administrative process, but you will have access to the department's attorneys and a hearing will be held, and if the employer is found liable, the department can award damages.
