How do I reset the BIOS password on Toshiba Equium P200D-139 laptop, forgotten it and need to access BIOS.

Tried using Backdoor passwords BIOS, CMOS phoenix and PHOENIX. But no joy. Toshiba, 24Banc81, toshy99 as well.

For your Toshiba model, you may use a program, KeyDisk, which will create a bootable disc for resetting the BIOS password in the same. You may download it using the following link:

before this happened I could not use the DVD/CD drive and tried to update the bios, it was unsuccessful, an error message came up stating the ROM file szie was incorrect. This made me feel that a security breach had occured on the internet? So I tried to set a Bios password and succeeded and tried to get back in and it rejects the password that I set. Could this be because the bios was corrupted? If so, how can I resolve this? Or what suggestions do you have?

Okay ..first off, I don't think the issue you had with your CD/DVD DRIVE had anything to do with your BIOS; now, since the BIOS update was unsuccessful ..it may have been unable to store the BIOS password you had saved, replacing it with a random entry instead.
The program I had mentioned in my earlier post, KeyDisk, will let you create a bootable disc which will reset the BIOS password when started up with the system. The download link for the same is as follows:

If it doesn't work as well, you might have to take the help of your authorized Toshiba retailer service so that their technicians can take care of the same, without causing further complications.
