I'm in San diego, C.A.

The question is in regards too some property damages that where done yesterday by a neighbor of mind. He stated that he would return to fix property but has not even done so. what legal action can I take?

Answer

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

You can file suit in small claims court.

You may file your action in California small claims court if you keep your action under the California jurisdictional limit of $7,500.

The process to file the small claim action is very streamlined. Simply go to the court clerk's office, fill out the form and pay the fee for filing and service. The clerk can assist you.

Alternatively, you can download the forms and instructions at this site: http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/

I hope that the information which I provided was helpful to you.

Best wishes for a successful outcome. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to submit them to me directly.

Thank you,
