tools advanced show pictures....pc tools did a fix...no change....computer won't recover to an earlier date. all pictures and select boxes are just small type and a little red x in a box.
dont know what browser i am using.

Could you specify if there's a specific program you are having this issue in, an email client, i.e. Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., or an Internet browser, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.?

internet explorer i guess it is on all my online content

i use alltell to connect to the internet

some of the boxes are missing on the page for example the reply button on this page.................i found it by clicking on different spots on the page.

Okay ..first off, please go to Tools in IE and clear all browsing history & temporary Internet files, then under 'Security', set the 'Internet Zone' to the default level, apply the settings and check if it makes any difference. If not, get back to me with the security program/s, if any, you are using so that I can follow up further.

Okay ..now, click on the Norton 360 icon in the notification area, then navigate to Settings > Firewall Protection, and click on the 'Reset' button present in the 'General Settings' option/. Done that, restart IE and check if the issue still persists ..keep me posted.

there are no reset buttons if there are i cannot see them

there is only turn off or on

Hmm ..just for test purposes, turn off the firewall temporarily and check if you can get the images in webpages to show up properly now .. get back to me so that I can follow up further.

Sorry but this is taking way too long.

I don't like leaving my firewall off and I am driving into town tomorrow to let the best buy Geek handle the problem.

I have a business and I have to resolve this in a quicker manner.
