The math teacher gave the students formulas but did not show them how to work it. They had to create a 3 D model of a robot using 5 different solid shaps. Each one had to show the surface area and the volume.
Accepted Answer
All sides are of equal length in a cube. So in your cube all sides are 2 inches.
The cube consists of 6 "sides" (squares) whom all have the area of 2*2 = 4 sq inches. So it's surface area is 6*4 = 24 sq inches.
The volume is given by the width times base times length = 2*2*2 = 8 cubic inches
