How can I open a word document ending in .docx when I have word 2003 on my computer?

Hi,

Docx extension are created in MS Word 2007. Since you have Word 2003 it will not be able to open them.

However there are couple of choices:

1 You can try a free software OpenOffice from the link below to open the newer format:
http://www.openoffice.org/

2 You can use Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=en

If you choose number two, remember to download updates for windows before installing compatibility pack.
