I have just purchased a new emachine computer. I am trying to register the computer. To register the computer I need the product key. The product key located on the side of the computer does not work. It had too many numbers I couldn't get all the numbers typed in the spaced provided. JXTDY RJ7XF JCXYD JVFBR CV2KR . This is what was located on the side of the computer, but I could not get the last 5 digit typed.

Answer

Hi There,

If you are trying to register the machine with eMachines. Please try the online registration HERE

What you need from the system is probably the Serial Number, this would be located and marked on the back of the machine.

The product key you have provided is the Windows XP CD-Key. This is what is needed if you are registering Windows XP and it tells you authentication failed. If you are not registering Windows XP then this is not the proper key.
