Question

He has just flooped on the floor and body twisting and turning all directions no control head shaking mouth closed his legs are going in different directions. lasted approx minute is now laying quietly very much not with it.
Went to get some water for him and is now howling this is awful to watch and listen can't get hold of my vet.
Next morning gave him some meat and milk hasn't been sick has gone back to bed. He is a large birman his name is big boy.

aged 14yrs. Nothing I could do other than give him lot of attention love and cuddles. he is now purring. Still can't get hold of vet.They are meant to be ringing me back.I really don't want to see him go through this again.What do you think has happened.?

hi poppee,
to me it sounds like he had a seizure. It is good that he is feeling better now. Make an appointment with your vet to have him checked. If seizures continue, then your vet may want to get some bloodwork run on him and start him on some antiseizure medication depending on how often they occur.
