Question

I recently learned a lesson about trusting a employer and the mentality of the Department of Labor and Industry here in PA. I was Employed by Fairview Township for 6 years as the Building Inspector. It was well known throughout the township that if you were injured and were calming workers compensation you had better get better quick. I was injured a couple times and they were minor enough where i healed up on my own. In had a set of stairs fall out from under me while doing a inspection and as usual I was told I was faking and when was I just going to let it go. I found out though another employee he heard if I didn't sign a release they would get rid of me. I mentioned this to other people and they looked at me and said nothing. I thought the only real damage was done to my toe and signed the release. The pain returned and I went back to there do9c who said I was fine so said forget it and walked out. Then my back hurt and I found out I had 2 herniated disc. Other things happened. ??

Optional Information

New Cumberland, Pennsylvania

Already Tried:
Unemployment and after 5 weeks no answer. The Townships insurance who has still not returned my call. I did hear the new township manager was going to "put me though hell".
The Township who is supposed pay my license fee's didn't and had the Department of Labor and Industry revoke all my inspection Certifications because the township didn't pay a $50.00 fee in 2007. So even if I could work I can't. My certs are good in any other state than PA. XXXXX XXXXX and Steve Waller knew all about what was going to happen. I just wanted to keep my job so bad I did what they told me. I live with my 2 children my landlord stopped by today to let us know we have to leave and she is a sweet lady. I've contacted welfare and nothing will happen for months. I want to let Obama know what is really going on in this country. 50.00 bucks

Info Request

Hi -

What is the date that the incident happened? When did a medical professional tell you that the back problem is related to the incident at work? What day did you sign the release? Did you have an attorney?

Were the medical bills left open?

No I don't have a Lawyer but I need one. I don't remember signing a release, I will need to get all that paper work with the dates I went to P.T. for my knee and foot and the Doctor visits. I went to a orthropedic for my back because i knew I wouldn't recieve help from there doc. I do have all the paper work here with dates.

Answer

You are correct, you need a local attorney.

If your case was decided or if you settled there are two ways to reopen, in general. One is to show that there is newly discovered evidence and the other is to show that there is a material change in condition.

What other specific question do you have for me?
