I am a foster parent who recently had my foster child removed from my home due to a prescription of marinol which contains thc . Can CPS legally remove this child while I have a valid prescription from a physician? I live in Arizona Gila County

Answer

Yes they can if they, like many states, have rules that require the child to be removed even if you have a prescription. They should give you written notice of under what authority they have removed the child so you can appeal it or let them know you are no longer on the medication.
