I have had a sinus infection since November. I've been to an urgent care clinic 3 times, been through a z pack and 2 rounds of amoxicillin. It gets better, but doesn't go away. My ears have been very clogged, and about 3 weeks ago I felt my left ear just sort of pop shut. I am having a lot of trouble hearing anything (except for my own heartbeat, which just seems to pound in my left ear). Is it worth another trip to a clinic? Is there a different antibiotic that might help? Is there anything I can use to help unclog my ears? I'm actually considering shooting a little nasal spray in there. It seems to be the only thing that helps clear my nose and sinuses, so would it help in my ear? As you can tell, I'm getting a little desperate here!

well you should use a stronger antibiotic like bactrim or avelox for this. important to have ear examination done.also should try nasal sprays such as nasonex/ astelin. dont put anything in the ear ever at all.you can try to chew a gum and that should help with ear clogging.
