I recently bought a 2001, 3door, softback, Landrover Freelander from a dealer. 4 days after, I discovered a part of what holds up the softback had clearly already been snapped in half and was just put back together. I called the dealer and their response was that they were unaware of it & to contact Landrover and get it fixed myself... My question is, should I argue that it should be the dealers responsibility to cover the cost of the damage as I was clearly mislead by the condition of the car...?

Called the dealer in the hope that they would organise the car to be repaired at their expense, the way it 'seemed' when I was in the process of purchasing the car. But they were not very co-operative.

Call The Costumer Service Department They Have To Replace It If Its Within About The First Two Months They Should Replace Anything You Find Wrong With It. Even If The Vehicle Is Used It Is Supposed To Be In %100 Working Condition. You Need To Speak To Customer Service And Tell Then The Problem And If They Don't Offer A Resolve Tell Them You Want Them To Buy It Back. See If They Don't Change Their Tune Then.
