Answer

Hello thank you for using JA let me see if I can help.

What will have to be done is to remove the radio and you will need to write down the serial number along with all the identification numbers found on top of the radio. The information will have to be taken to a mitsubishi dealership and the parts department will be able to provide the code. They are the only ones that will have this information. I would recommend talking to the service writer and he may be able to get this to you for free.

Well its indicated that I should not remove audio because it will not work. How about that?

Answer

Since it is already blocked removing it will not cause further issues with the radio. All you have to do is pop the trim panel that covers the radio and all the a/c controls and there is four screws holding in the radio. Remove the screws pull the radio out but no all the way it and on top will be the serial numbers needed to get the right code. After getting the right code you will have to have the vehicle sit for a while could be up to 15 minutes with the key on and the error will clear and say code again. Enter the code and the radio will start to work.

Sir, you now appear more convincing. Its almost midnight and I'll try this tomorrow. Should I accept for payment now or after doing as per your instruction tomorrow?

Accepted Answer

I leave that up to you. Be sure to take down all the numbers on the sticker on top as well as any of the numbers that sometimes are on the front of the radio on the cassette door. Some radios have some numbers and some do not.
