Question
I have a 2005 gmc canyon. the heater/ac fan switch does not work ; sometimes it comes on in only high speed, sometimes in all speeds and now very seldom. Is it only a switch replacement or something else. Please reply ASAP for it is very cold out/up here in Newfoundland .

My name is Vladimir.
It could be a faulty blower motor, blower motor resistor, blower switch or wiring and connector issue.
It is hard to say exactly what is wrong without testing it.
Next time it does not work give a light kick to the blower motor, if it statrts working, you will need to replace it.
You can disconnect the blower motor connector and check it for power and ground with an usual test light, try to detrmine what is missing and trace this circuit down until you find the problem.
