My cat's eye is swollen, and he his loosing hair where it is swollen.What should i do?

I tried to look at it, and i held a warm cloth over the whole eye, he didn't fight with me, but he wined like it hurt..

How long has your cat had this problem?

 

Is the eyeball itself bulging and larger than normal or are the tissues and eye lid surrounding the eye swollen?

 

Does your kitty go outside?

 

What color is the eye? Are you seeing any discharge?

 

Does your kitty have any illnesses that you know about?
