Question

Looking for wiring information on the door handle courtesy lights in the 2008 Saturn Astra. Is this wiring present in the doors of all of the Saturn Astras just doesnt have the lights fitted for cars without the leather seating pack? or have they only put the wiring in for cars with the leather pack and lights fitted? Can the wiring be retrofitted easily enough?

Answer

Your Asking If The Wiring Is There Although Certain Components Are Not There? In Some Cases The Wiring Is There For Optional Components So You Were On Track. In Your Case The Wiring Is Not There. This Model Should Have The Dummy Light Covers Which Looks Like A Light But Doesnt Light Up. This Dummy Light Is A Cover And There Is No Hole For The Light On The Inside Or Anything. Also The Wiring Isnt Present Inside The Door. Your Best Bet If You Want Them To Light Up Would Be To Take It To The Dealer And They Will Install The Option For You. I Tried To Locate Somewhere Online You Can Buy The Wiring Harness And Everything Needed To Do The Work Yourself But Since The Vehicle Is So New Its Almost impossible To Locate Parts. So Your Only Other Option Would Be To Get The Harness And Lights From The Dealer Or Like I Said Have The Dealer Install The Option.
I Hope This Helps And Dont Be Affraid To Ask Anything
