Question

Is there something I can give from our human pain relievers to my cat. He hurt his leg and I can't get the vet right now. He is holding the leg up and moving around but I can tell it hurts him. He will only stretch it out for a little while and then he putw it back up

Answer

Hi there,

I am so sorry your cat was hurt. Unfortunately he cannot take any human OTCs as most are toxic to cats.

You can apply compresses - alternate warm and cold - 5 minutes on and 5 off and see which gives him more relief.

Keep him indoors with as much rest as possible.

Please let me know how he is doing. I will be here late if you need me.

Best wishes for him,

Terri
