Hello, you should contact the US Labor dept and request that they investigate your complaint. You may also contact Georgia Labor Dept but this dept is very limited in conducting investigations. When you file the complaint ensure you can setforth why you feel you are an IC and not an employee.

 

Review the IRS rules on determination of an IC versus an employee. There are about 25 guidelines that help determine the IC classification.The Fair Labor Standard Act have certain certeria for determining who is an employee covered by FLSA. The biggest question is who has the right to control your work.There are several tests out there that will help you to validate as you raise this issue as a complaint.
