I have just had a hysterectomy a week ago and received no information upon leaving. I do not know what i should look like down there, if my discharge is normal or if i have an infection as i can smell it and when will i be able to clean myself better inside without causing any damage.

The part you can see should look normal. You can expect a bloody or brownish discharge which may vary from almost nothing to like a period. A little odor is normal. If it's a bad odor I'd go in for a check. The best way to clean yourself is just sit in a tub of water. Don't try to clean inside. It will all take care of itself with time. If you get a fever or feel sick, then go in for a check.
