Question

I need to replace the hard drive in my Toshiba Satelite 1110 laptop. How do I remove the cover to access it. The model no isPS111E-006R8-EN/S1110-Z 15. Serial No 92320167K. I have a replacement read to fit.

So far I have removed the the nine screws from underside, I have removed the battery.I cannot see how to proceed !
There is no slot or cover to access the hard drive that I can see.

HI,

 

As your machie is somewhat older it does not have the usefull feature of a removeable drive carriage like newer machiens so to change ot the drive you will need to partially dissasemble your machine.

 

This guide to take apart a 1115 should work for you as appart from color there is very little difference http://www.geocities.com/ge64/1115-S103/index.html

 

Just remember to do this in a well lit area and to ground yourself by touching a metal object like a faucet before you start.
