Not an Employment Law Question?
Question
-= I am in the process of labor union arbitration for wrongful termination. My grievance rep. asked me to come up with a figure to settle with the employer. I have no idea what I am entitled to ask for and she is not helpful in providing me with any criteria to calculate from. I can only guess that I need to include time not worked, and hours reimbursed into my pension, social security, and health insurance. I am not sure if getting my job back is an option yet. If not, can I also include damages for loss of future work, especially because I can not get another job that would equal, given the job economy and the # 1 seniority status that I had? I needed to continue my employment status for another 5 years to become vested for retirement benefits. I would greatly appreciate any light you can shed. Thank you, J9
