Hi Tiigerclaw,
My name is Rich,
I have many years with Mits and these cars. What I can tell you is to drive it and make sure the trans shifts smooth and there is no crunching or grinding going on because the getrag trans is expesive to replace. Also have the transfer case gear oil checked and make sure it is full. There is one other weakness in this car and that was the output shaft to the transfer case. What would happen it that it would just strip out and require a trans and tranfer case replacement to fix. There is no warning for this unless you wanted to remove the transfer case and inspect for wear. These were the majority of the problems we saw at the dealer on these cars at this mileage. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Rich
Hi Tigerclaw,
I was checking my questions and was wondering if you had more questions about the 3000 gt vr4.
