Question

The shut off arm will not come all the way down, there is no ice holding it up , it comes about an inch of the bottom.

Yes & the ice maker makes ice

there is two ways to fix it ,,, you can take the front cover off the icemaker and replace this part or replace the complete icemaker ,,, which would you like info on

its the arm shut off spring ,,, part number XXXXXXXXXX and it cost about $3 ,,,, you can get one local or online at www3.sears.com ,,, what you do is pull out the icemaker and take the 3 screws out on the head and raise while watching the arm ,, the spring fits on the arm and hooks inside of watch as you take it apart cause yours most likely isnt broken, just streched out ,,,, replace the spring and put back together and install ,,, it will work fine and a lot cheaper than a $160.00 icemaker ,,,,,,, hope i helped / larry
