Info Request

Hi
Can I have alittle more information first.
1. Has she been bred previously? If so, was it productive? Any problems?
2. Is the discharge pure blood or is it mucoid or messy? Smelly?
3. How much discharge and for how long have you noticed it?
4. Does she seem well otherwise?
5. Is her thirst pattern normal (not excessive)?
I'll get back to you straight away.

Thanks for the additional information.
Unfortunately this could mean that she is losing the pups due to a placenta separating. However some bitches can have small amounts of vaginal bleeding throughout pregnancy and still produce live pups. It is not possible for me to say positively....an examination is required. It doesn't sound like infection. The vet will be able to palpate the pups and perhaps do an ultrasound. Sometiumes a sample from the vagina is taken and examined for cell types (the bleeding can be from the vagina). It is best that you have her examined by your vet to determine if the pups are still viable.
Please contact me back if you feel I can assist further in any way.
Good luck, Peter
