have concluded missives on a house that is getting built but can no longer afford to move due investment crash where do i stand

As missives are concluded this is a done deal. If you pull out you are liable to be sued for what is basically breach of contract. The missives will usually contain a note of the penalties that could be invoked, usually it is damages for the breach, costs involved in remarketing etc, interest. It could be very expensive especially if they house remains unsold for a lengthy period.
