Can an attorney help if someone has been arrested on a probation violation for positive UA. My husband was arrested Dec. 19, 2008 and told he was going to be transferred to a treatment facility. This has still not been done. Can an attorney help? We have four children and he is not a criminal.

I have contacted the probation department, sent letters to the DA office, contacted attorneys. All the same answer NOTHING!

Dear XXXXXXXX - It is always advisable to be represented by counsel in any court action. Without know all of the facts or the specific case and court I cannot say that anything can be done about your husband's situation but an attorney can certainly guarantee that his rights are being protected. If he cannot afford an attorney you should ask the court to appoint counsel.
