Hi,

If your cat is not on a monthly flea preventative like Advantage or Frontline, she may have fleas (itching isn't always present) and this is causing her fur to come out in certain areas. Even indoor-only cats can get fleas, brought inside by humans on shoes and pantlegs.

If she's not biting/chewing at these spots, hairloss can also be caused by a fungal skin infection like ringworm.

A bacterial skin infection is also possible, and an in-person evaluation by the vet will be necessary, to determine the cause of the hairloss and treat it most appropriately. A skin scraping (painless) might provide more diagnostic information for the vet.
