Question

I have a 1997 Infiniti I30 which keeps blowing fuses for the tail lights. When the fuse is blown, the tail lights and parking lights do not come on, unless I press the brake pedal. When I press the brake pedal, even the front parking lights come on. I suspect there's a short or a ground problem, but where should I look? Thanks!

Optional Information

1997 Infiniti I30 VQ Series V6

Already Tried:
I've just replaced fuses. When I press the brake pedal the front and rear parking lamps both come on and if the door is open, the "lights on" chime sounds.

Hi my name is John.

You might have cross filment in one of the rear bulbs.

I would pull out one bulb at a time and try it or just look at each bulb inside to see.

Let me know what you find.

You could install a circuit breaker while your testing to save on fuses.
