Answer

Hello,

Congratulations on your new, furry addition!

The first suggestion I'd make is to bring her to a local vet for a complete health evaluation, and she may need some sub-q fluids if she's not drinking on her own.

Her system is most likely upset due to the stress of her trip and getting used to her new surroundings. Feed her very bland food, like plain boiled chicken breast and plain white rice with no seasonings or onions, onion powder, garlic--nothing added, in small portions, every few hours. Also, your kitten should benefit from a cat appeasing pheromone called Feliway/Comfort Zone for Cats, which comes in both a spray and plug-in diffuser. It's available at major pet supply stores, and also online. The diffuser resembles a plug-in air freshener, but has no scent to humans. Feliway helps to relax stressed or anxious cats, and is useful in a multitude of situations. Only plug it in to sockets that are too high for her to reach. For more information, please see: www.catfaeries.com/feliway.html

Try to keep her as calm as possible, give her a cozy place to sleep, like a cat bed or a small cardboard box lined with a fluffy towel or blanket, and bring her to the vet, as soon as possible, for evaluation and treatment, if necessary.
